Apple has announced from their live event that the long anticipated Mac Pro refresh will still be happening before the end of the year. Apple has however announced that the price will start at $2,999 for a base model.
The base model Mac Pro features 3.7HGz quad-core Xeon processor, 12GB DRAM, 2GB VRAM each, and a 256GB SSD. Other configurations will be available upon launch as well.
